Aims and Objectives

We want all our residents to feel at home and secure when they live with us so we make sure that our aims and objectives continue to be our main concern. We want to do our utmost to ensure that the care we offer is of the highest standard and encourages as much independence as possible for our residents.

Aims

To make the needs of our residents the centre of our care.
To provide a home in which the residents feel secure.
To create an environment in which the residents will feel reassured and free from unnecessary stress and anxiety.
To ensure that our residents retain their dignity and maintain their independence.
To provide a comfortable clean environment where residents can feel they are “at home”.
To ensure our team of staff are sympathetic and conscientious.
Promote good communication and relationships between management, staff and residents.
To maintain and establish outside contacts and interests.

Objectives

To include residents in decision making regarding their care by involvement in reviews enabling residents’ express their views.
To encourage and motivate residents to help themselves as much as possible, with regard to dressing, washing, etc.,
Ensure that all staff are courteous to residents at all times and also that all staff receive regular safeguarding training and have in place an accessible complaints procedure.
Ensure that care is carried out with warmth and understanding and that residents’ confidentiality is respected and maintained at all times.
Encourage and welcome residents to participate in activities at the home.
To welcome and encourage visitors.
Assist residents to entertain visitors.
To provide information on outside activities and means to access them.
Listen to residents views though regular residents meeting and quality assurance surveys.
