Health and Welfare

Camelot provides 24 hour care with fully trained caring members of staff.

Staff undertake Induction Training, Infection Control, Health & Safety, Fire Safety.  Also staff handling food are trained in basic food hygiene during their first period of employment.

Meals are usually taken in the dining room, although if a resident prefers or is ill, meals can be served in their room.  Socialising with other residents is encouraged with tea and coffee being served in the lounge.

We have a varied activities programme which includes arts and crafts, quizzes, gentle exercises, organised games and various entertainers.  Birthdays, special events and traditional festivals are suitably celebrated.  Participation in these events are the residents’ personal choice.

Residents are able to enjoy the fresh air, weather permitting, with the front and rear gardens having handrails, ramps and seating, for their convenience.

We are also fortunate to have a new public park directly opposite which provides ample seating areas.

Regular visitors are made welcome and offered tea and coffee on arrival. Meals for residents’ guests can be provided on request.

To everyone at Camelot Care Home

Thank you for caring for mum and making her last 18 months so happy.

You know how much she enjoyed all the activities, Helen’s lovely meals and her nice room. The family really appreciate all that you did.
